SUMMER SALON- landingwebhdr

The Meeniyan Art Gallery is hosting our first Great Southern Summer Salon group exhibition over the peak period from 3 December 2025 and January 2026.

Theme: Impressions of Coast and Country — From Westernport Bay to Wilsons Promontory

This exhibition seeks to showcase diverse interpretations of this remarkable part of Victoria — its coasts, countryside, wildlife, and the emotional connections it inspires.

We invite artists to submit works for an upcoming exhibition celebrating the landscapes, seascapes and spirit of Victoria’s magnificent south coast.

Stretching from the sheltered waters of Westernport Bay to the dramatic granite peaks of Wilsons Promontory, this region is rich in natural beauty. Rolling farmland meets rugged headlands, tranquil inlets contrast with windswept surf beaches and tidal mudflats give way to coastal woodlands alive with birdlife.

The interplay of light, weather, and changing seasons creates endless impressions for artists to capture in paint, print, sculpture or mixed media. This exhibition seeks to showcase diverse interpretations of this remarkable part of Victoria — its coasts, countryside, wildlife, and the emotional connections it inspires.
