Felting Workshops – Stage 1 & Stage 2
Enjoy the delight of learning new skills in a safe and comfortable environment with like-minded textile felt makers.
It is encouraged to enrol in both stages as new techniques and skills are developed sequentially.

Workshop – Wet felting – Stage 1 – 17th February 2018
Learn the techniques of wet felting and leave with your own pieces of felt that can be utilised in a project of your choice. This workshop is hands-on where your creative skills develop as you learn the methods of wet felting. You have the choice of coloured roving (wool), silk and gauze fabric (supplied). You will take home finished pieces that reflect you newly learned felting skills.
Outcome- Participants will leave with knowledge and skills in developing their completed felt pieces to use in a project or projects of your choice
Level – Beginner/Intermediate
Participants – minimum 5 maximum 10
Time –4.5 hours. 10.30 am – 3.00 pm
Fee – $80.00 per workshop
Materials –$25.00 per workshop (paid to tutor by cash on the day).
What to Bring-
Apron, scissors, pen, notebook
3 old large towels
Plastic bottle (1 ltr) with several holes punched into screw on lid
2 Plastic buckets, 3 Plastic shopping bags
Palmolive dish washing liquid, and/or cake of organic soap eg olive
Noodle (swimming pool noodle 1- 1.5 mtr length)
Hairdryer, Camera
Masking tape, width approx.2-3cm
Small pieces of natural yarn, scraps of silk or pure cotton, gauze (not synthetic)
Tutor will have extra materials for sale.

Workshop – Wet felting – Stage 2 – 3rd March 2018
Enjoy the delight of learning new skills in a safe and comfortable environment with like-minded textile felt makers.
Enhance your wet felting techniques in this Stage 2 workshop. This is a continuation of Stage 1 – learning new techniques. It is the basis for creating and designing new wet felting pieces leaving with the confidence to make your exciting creations.
Level – Beginner/Intermediate
Participants – minimum 5 maximum 10
Time –4.5 hours. 10.30 am – 3.00 pm
Fee – $80.00 per workshop
Materials –$25.00 per workshop (paid to tutor by cash on the day)
